A.F.D MEETING RECAP (9/12/2022)
Director Ekwu Emmanuel started by asking the associates how their week has been... He stated that, every single day in this business counts because anyone who is here is here for a purpose. It’s either you are learning or you are earning.
He talked on the topic ‘’2023 Road Map in Business’’. He said, to be intentional as we look at the road map, that one must be prepared to approach the year (2023) with lots of clarity, consistent result in a given area because that is a proof of mastery and that’s why we must aspire.
He enlisted & explained 8 keys one needs to drive his/her action:
1. Increase in "S"ales: Our goal in the year (2023) is to increase in our sales.
Principles to consider when expecting the increase in sale:
- Sales is about relationship. Build a string rapport with your customers because people don’t usually buy from strangers.
- Sales is not about the product but about the problem to be solved.
- There is no sales unless you can close it.
- You must appreciate that price goes hand in hand in value.
- Those who listen to their prospect/customer wins them.
He went on and stated four Types of Selling; which are:
- Transaction selling
- Solution selling
- Consultative selling
- Provocation selling
2. More "E"nergy: Energy is the ability to do work. You need a greater energy to work.
Principles to consider for more Energy:
- Performance:To achieve greater result, you must perform.
- Gain insight & focus on the skill you need to grow your marketing.
- Show attention
- Communication and Consciously communicate the value of what you are selling to people as a real estate person and actively blend emotion and logic in neutralizing abjection in this business.
3. Strategic "N"etwork: Your net-work determines your net-worth. People you know and those who knows you matters in this business.
Principle to consider for strategic network:
- Recruiting or introducing business associate(s).
- You must have a business mentor with a clear idea.
- You must connect to every individual anywhere you find yourself because people always want to know what you do.
4. Save "T"ime: It is important to understand that time is money. Anyone who can save time, who can manage time can equally build a lot in life.
Principle to consider in saving time:
- Keep track of your activities
- Dedicate a distraction free zone
- Do one thing at a time
- Avoid unnecessary meetings
- Finish what is almost done. Don’t procrastinate.
5. Improve "I"ntegrity: Trust is a huge capital. By been integrity, this will make you earn peoples trust. Make it an intention for people to feel safe in doing business with you. When people trust you, they will recommend you to other people.
6. Avoid "N"uisance value: Because of these, people have decided they won’t succeed, they have tried and discovered it’s not working and then relax. Don’t make excuse for failure.
7. Greater "E"xcellence at work: Excellence means to be;
- Consistence in good character
- Consistence in good attitude
People don’t take you serious because they don’t perceive seriousness in you due to the way you appear. Let quality mark what you do. Reason why most of us are not really connecting with the right people is because ofthe way you appear, the way you talk, the way you keep your hair, your composition or the way you just show up.
Excellence differentiates ordinary people from extra ordinary people.
Principles to consider in greater excellence at work:
- Be intentional about working excellent. Have a hunger for excellence.
- Excellence is the yardstick and also a benchmark
- Build concrete strategy and plan
- Learn from the best
- Do not limit yourself.
8. More "L"everage: This refers to working smart rather than working hard. Leverage means using other peoples time to accomplish your task. He made reference to a book titled school of money by Dr Olumide Emmanuel, He talked about OPM which means other peoples money, OPT which means other peoples time.
Initiator is a powerful leverage tool you have as an associate. Don't tie to 15% commission only, Set a target for it for 15% commission and 8% commission.
Director Emmanuel concluded by summarizing the 8 keys points which he coined from the word SENTINEL . He urge associates to do SENTINEL in the year 2023.
